Job Description:

1. Night Audit & Financial Reconciliation

  • Audit Oversight: Oversee the complete night audit process, ensuring all room, F&B, events, and ancillary revenues are accurately posted and the business day is closed.

  • Financial Balancing: Reconcile room revenue with occupancy reports and POS transactions with cashier summaries. Resolve or escalate discrepancies in cash, card, and transfer payments.

  • Internal Controls: Enforce strict controls related to cash handling, night safe deposits, refunds, and system access.

2. Operational Leadership & Staff Supervision

  • Shift Coordination: Supervise and coordinate night audit and front desk staff to ensure 100% coverage and performance excellence.

  • Service Recovery: Handle escalated guest complaints and authorize service recovery within approved limits to maintain high satisfaction levels.

  • Performance Management: Enforce attendance and service standards, providing real-time coaching and feedback to the night operations team.

3. Security, Safety & Risk Control

  • Incident Management: Coordinate with the Security team to monitor overnight activity and respond to any incidents or emergencies.

  • Asset Protection: Ensure the property remains secure and all incidents are meticulously documented and escalated according to policy.

4. Handover & Communication

  • Management Reporting: Prepare a structured morning handover report summarizing financial variances, guest issues, maintenance concerns, and security incidents.

  • Continuity: Ensure a seamless transition between night and day operations through clear, professional communication with day management.

Requirements:

  • Analytical Thinking: Strong financial and analytical skills with high attention to detail.

  • Leadership: Ability to lead a diverse team under limited supervision.

  • Calm Under Pressure: Sound judgment and decision-making skills in a fast-paced or emergency environment.

  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field.

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hotel experience in a supervisory or leadership role.

  • Technical Savvy: High computer literacy is essential. Proficiency in Hotel Management Systems (HMS) such as Valinno, Room Master, or Opera is highly preferred.

  • Functional Knowledge: Strong understanding of front office procedures, billing, and night audit responsibilities.
