Job Description:
1. Operational Leadership & Strategy
Daily Coordination: Provide end-to-end leadership of daily activities across all clinical and non-clinical departments to ensure a seamless workflow.
Policy Implementation: Translate hospital strategic plans into actionable SOPs, ensuring all procedures align with modern healthcare best practices.
KPI Monitoring: Track and analyze Key Performance Indicators (e.g., bed occupancy, patient wait times, average length of stay) and prepare comprehensive management reports.
2. Financial & Resource Management
Financial Oversight: Manage hospital budgets, drive cost-control initiatives, and identify opportunities for revenue optimization and waste reduction.
Facility & Procurement: Oversee facility maintenance, medical equipment lifecycle management, and the procurement of essential pharmaceuticals and consumables.
Supply Chain: Maintain strict inventory control systems to prevent stockouts of critical medical supplies.
3. Human Resources & Talent Development
Staff Management: Oversee scheduling, supervision, and performance appraisals for administrative and support staff.
Capacity Building: Identify training needs and lead professional development initiatives to enhance the skills of the hospital workforce.
Culture: Foster a collaborative environment between medical consultants, nursing staff, and administrative teams.
4. Quality Assurance & Regulatory Compliance
Regulatory Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies (e.g., HEFAMAA, MDCN) and ensure 100% compliance with healthcare laws.
Patient Safety: Lead quality assurance programs to improve clinical outcomes, patient safety protocols, and infection control standards.
Patient Experience: Manage patient relations, proactively resolving complaints and implementing feedback loops to improve the "Patient Journey."
Requirements:
Strategic Thinking: Ability to balance clinical needs with commercial viability.
Conflict Resolution: Exceptional skills in managing patient grievances and inter-departmental friction.
Analytical Prowess: Ability to interpret financial statements and clinical data to drive efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field. (An MBA or Master’s in Hospital Management is highly preferred).
Experience: 5–10 years of progressive experience in healthcare operations, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of Nigerian healthcare regulations and international accreditation standards.
Technical Savvy: Proficiency in Hospital Management Information Systems (HMIS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
