Job Description:

NewsMaximum Nigeria is expanding its digital frontiers, and we are looking for the new voice (and face) of our newsroom. This is a high-impact role for a "Media Polymath"—someone who can break a story on WordPress, anchor a viral news segment from their own personal studio, and edit high-octane video content for a mobile-first audience.

You aren't just reading the news; you are producing it. From sourcing verified leads in the digital noise of social media to managing our web architecture, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of credible, engaging Nigerian current affairs. Requirements:

1. Multimedia Anchoring & Video Production

• On-Camera Presentation: Deliver professional, clear, and confident news segments. We value a dynamic "intermittent" presence—showing your face to build trust while utilizing B-roll and graphics to drive the story.

• Cinematic Editing: Use professional software (Premiere Pro, CapCut, or Final Cut) to transform raw footage and sourced assets into high-retention news videos.

• Studio Governance: Maintain and operate a personal mini-studio capable of producing broadcast-quality audio and video consistently.

2. Digital Journalism & CMS Management

• WordPress Mastery: Take full ownership of the NewsMaximum website, including formatting, SEO-optimized publishing, and categorized content organization.

• Responsible Sourcing: Navigate the digital landscape to find verified stories, ensuring 100% compliance with copyright laws and providing proper attribution to all original sources.

• Multimedia Storytelling: Adapt a single news story into various formats—a long-form web article, a 60-second Reel, and a detailed YouTube segment.

3. Audience Growth & Social Strategy

• Channel Management: Grow the NewsMaximum footprint across TikTok, Instagram, and X (Twitter) by understanding the nuances of digital engagement and algorithm behavior.

• Community Engagement: Monitor comments and trends to identify what the Nigerian audience is talking about in real-time, feeding those insights back into the content loop.

• Brand Integrity: Ensure that all digital content reflects the modern, credible, and dynamic values of NewsMaximum LTD.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Education: Degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, or Media Studies.

• Technical Gear: Must have a functional personal studio and a high-performance computer for video editing.

• Location: Must be based in Lagos or Abuja.

• Portfolio: Evidence of active, high-quality content creation on personal social media handles.

Core Competencies

• Editorial Judgment: Ability to distinguish "fake news" from verified reports.

• Technical Fluency: Deep comfort with WordPress and professional Video Editing suites.
