NNEC makes available to the oil and gas industry, worldwide experience and reputation in Engineering and Project Support Services. Specifically, for Engineering - Conceptual Design, Front End Engineering, Detail Design of Oil and Gas related facilities, and Production of “As-Built” CADD Drawings of Oil and Gas facilities.

Job Description:

1. Technical Oversight & Quality Assurance

  • Work Validation: Evaluate and comment on mechanical engineering deliverables produced by contractors and sub-contractors to ensure 100% alignment with Company specifications and regulatory mandates.

  • Design Review: Perform deep-dive reviews of discipline design drawings, calculations, and technical documents.

  • Deviation Management: Identify and assess deviations from Contract Technical Specifications; maintain the Deviation Control Log and ensure all changes follow formal approval procedures.

2. Coordination & Project Stewardship

  • Technical Interface: Facilitate seamless communication between the company’s engineering team and contractor teams to resolve issues affecting safety, design, and compliance.

  • Query Management: Steward discipline-specific engineering queries (EQs) and Technical Information Requests (TIRs) from contractors to ensure timely and accurate resolutions.

  • Progress Monitoring: Keep the Lead Engineer or Engineering Manager informed of progress, critical deviations, and execution concerns through structured reporting.

3. Execution & Efficiency

  • Site & Vendor Reviews: Participate in on-site engineering reviews at contractor and sub-contractor locations to verify work-in-progress.

  • Capital Efficiency: Actively promote and drive capital efficiency in engineering design without compromising safety or operational integrity.

  • Global Practice: Support internal general interest initiatives and Global Practice enhancements as requested by senior leadership.

Requirements:

  • Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office; familiarity with discipline-specific modeling or simulation software is a plus.

  • Adaptability: Proven ability to maintain precision under tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and shifting project priorities.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

  • Domain Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of international design standards, codes (e.g., ASME, API, ANSI), and discipline-specific safety criteria.

  • Communication: Must read, write, and speak fluent English, with a specific mastery of technical and business terminology.

  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong facilitation and negotiation skills to manage diverse stakeholders and contractor relationships effectively.
