About Company:
Pharmarun is an on-demand platform providing fast and easy access to medication. We do this by finding, financing and delivering medication to users.
Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Officer to join our team in Ikate, Lekki. In this role, you will be the primary guardian of our stock integrity, ensuring that our life-saving medications and healthcare products are accurately tracked, safely stored, and always available when needed.
The ideal candidate possesses 2–5 years of experience, preferably within a health-tech or pharmacy environment. You understand that in healthcare, inventory management isn't just about numbers—it's about ensuring patients get the right medication at the right time. If you are a spreadsheet-savvy professional with a high degree of analytical rigor, we invite you to help us optimize our supply chain.
Requirements:
1. Stock Integrity & Audit Governance
Accurate Record Keeping: Maintain real-time inventory data across all digital and physical locations, ensuring the system reflects true stock levels.
Routine Audits: Lead periodic stock counts and "blind audits" to verify physical stock against system records, investigating and resolving discrepancies immediately.
Inbound/Outbound Control: Supervise the documentation for all receiving and dispatch activities, ensuring that batch numbers and expiry dates are meticulously recorded.
2. Clinical Supply Chain Optimization
Demand Planning: Collaborate with the procurement team to forecast medication needs, preventing the twin risks of overstocking (capital tie-up) and stockouts (service failure).
Shelf-Life Management: Monitor expiry dates using FEFO (First-Expired-First-Out) principles to minimize wastage and ensure medication safety.
Cold Chain Compliance: (If applicable) Monitor temperature-sensitive inventory to ensure compliance with pharmaceutical storage regulations.
3. Systems & Analytics
Data Mastery: Utilize Microsoft Excel and Inventory Management Software (IMS) to generate reports on stock movement, turnover rates, and shrinkage.
Internal Controls: Enforce strict warehouse protocols to prevent theft, damage, or unauthorized stock movement.
Operational Liaison: Coordinate with the pharmacy and operations teams to align inventory levels with daily clinical requirements.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: 2 – 5 years in inventory management.
Industry Context: Prior experience in a Health-Tech company or Pharmacy is highly preferred.
Location: Must be able to work onsite in Ikate, Lekki – Lagos.
Technical Competencies
Software: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Data filtering, Pivot tables).
Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of Inventory Management Systems (IMS) and pharmaceutical stock-keeping units (SKUs).
Analytical Skills: High attention to detail with the ability to spot patterns in stock discrepancies.
