About Company:

Job Description:
We are looking for an Inventory Controller who believes that one missing unit is one unit too many. This isn't a role for someone who "checks in" on stock; it is for someone who tracks every single unit, across every single agent, every single day.
At this firm, we don't guess and we don't wait. If an agent in Abuja is missing stock, you identify the discrepancy and begin the investigation before you leave the office for the day. Your mission is to maintain 100% visibility over our national inventory, ensuring that our live tracker is accurate 24/7. If you are obsessive about detail and enjoy the "thrill of the chase" when it comes to reporting, this is your role.
Requirements:
1. Daily Reconciliation & Agent Accountability
The Golden Equation: Execute daily reconciliations for every Delivery Agent (DA):
$$Opening\ Stock + New\ Stock\ Received - Deliveries - Returns - Damages = Closing\ Stock$$
The Daily Chase: Proactively follow up with 40+ agents for daily reports. If a report is late, you call—you do not wait until tomorrow.
Discrepancy Investigation: Investigate every mismatch immediately. If stock disappears and remains unexplained by close of business, the day is not over.
2. Real-Time Tracking & Logistics Oversight
Live Reporting: Build and maintain a real-time stock tracker on Google Sheets that management can audit at any time for 100% accurate numbers.
In-Transit Monitoring: Track the movement of goods from the head office to DAs nationwide, ensuring "Goods in Transit" are never left in a vacuum.
Pattern Recognition: Flag agents showing high return rates, stock losses, delayed reporting, or stagnant inventory.
3. Systems Integrity & Auditing
Stock vs. Cash Separation: Maintain the strict discipline that inventory moves when goods move, not when money moves. Stock tracking is independent of payment tracking.
Audit Readiness: Maintain a system that is transparent and ready for a spot-audit at any moment.
Reporting: Generate daily, weekly, and monthly inventory summaries for management review.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Experience: 2+ years in inventory management or stock control, specifically tracking across multiple locations/agents (not just a single warehouse).
Sector Background: Experience in FMCG (Beverages/Pure Water), E-commerce, or Logistics is highly preferred.
Education: An Accounting background is a significant "Nice to Have."
Technical IQ & Competencies
Google Sheets Mastery: Advanced skills in VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and Data Validation are non-negotiable.
Obsessive Detail: A mindset where "almost correct" is considered a failure.
Tenacity: The ability to firmly chase agents for data without needing to be prompted by management.
