We are seeking a polished, professional, and elegant Hostess to be the face of our upscale dining establishment. As the first point of contact, you are responsible for setting the tone for the entire guest experience. You will manage the flow of the dining room with precision, ensuring that every guest—from VIPs to first-time visitors—feels welcomed and valued. Requirements:
1. Guest Experience & Atmosphere
First Impressions: Greet guests warmly with a polished, professional demeanor that reflects the brand’s luxury image.
Seating Excellence: Escort guests to their tables and present menus with meticulous attention to detail and grace.
Anticipatory Service: Anticipate guest needs and respond to requests with courtesy, discretion, and efficiency.
Concierge Duties: Manage inquiries, answer phones, and handle guest concerns with a focus on problem-solving and hospitality.
2. Front-of-House Coordination
Flow Management: Accurately manage reservations and waitlists to ensure a smooth service flow and avoid overcrowding.
Strategic Pacing: Communicate effectively with servers and the kitchen team to balance seating and pacing, ensuring the kitchen is never overwhelmed.
Dining Room Monitoring: Constantly monitor dining room activity and adjust seating plans in real-time to maintain an elegant atmosphere.
3. Professional & Administrative Standards
Brand Representation: Uphold the restaurant’s strict grooming standards and brand image at all times.
Station Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and elegant host stand and entrance area.
Data Management: Record guest preferences, feedback, and special notes in the reservation system to personalize future visits.
Operational Support: Complete opening and closing duties as assigned to ensure the restaurant is always "stage-ready."
Qualifications and Skills:
Experience & Background
Sector Knowledge: Previous experience in a hostess or front-of-house role, specifically within upscale or fine dining settings.
Technical Skill: Experience with digital reservation systems (e.g., OpenTable, Resy, or similar CRM tools).
Core Competencies
Communication: Exceptional verbal and interpersonal skills with a focus on polished etiquette.
Grace Under Pressure: Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment during peak service hours.
