Job Description:

We are seeking a professional, polished, and tech-savvy Front Desk Officer to be the primary point of contact for our guests. In this role, you are the face of our hotel, responsible for creating a seamless and welcoming experience from check-in to check-out. You will manage reservations, coordinate with various departments to ensure service excellence, and act as a brand ambassador by upselling our premium amenities. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who can handle high-pressure situations with grace and professional discretion.

Requirements:

1. Guest Arrival & Departure Management

  • Seamless Check-in/out: Perform all check-in and check-out tasks efficiently, ensuring guests feel welcomed and valued.

  • Registration: Accurately register guests, collecting vital information including contact details, stay duration, and identification.

  • Room Assignment: Manage room assignments based on guest preferences, rates, and current availability.

2. Reservations & Administrative Control

  • Booking Management: Oversee online and phone reservations using specialized hotel management software (PMS).

  • Financial Clarity: Inform guests about payment methods, process transactions, and maintain updated records of bookings and payments.

  • Internal Coordination: Liaise closely with housekeeping to ensure rooms are clean, tidy, and fully furnished before guest arrival.

3. Personalized Service & Upselling

  • VIP & Group Services: Confirm group reservations and arrange personalized services for VIPs and event attendees (e.g., wedding guests or corporate delegates).

  • Revenue Growth: Upsell additional hotel facilities and services (spa, restaurant, premium suites) when appropriate.

  • Guest Relations: Provide detailed information about hotel rates, amenities, and local Abuja attractions.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education & Experience

  • Academic Background: Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree, HND, or OND qualification.

  • Professional History: 2–5 years of proven work experience in a similar hospitality role.

  • Technical Skill: Must be computer literate with hands-on experience using hotel reservation software (e.g., Opera, Cloudbeds, or similar).

Core Competencies

  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills with a focus on polished etiquette.

  • Conflict Resolution: Ability to respond to client complaints in a timely, professional, and empathetic manner.

  • Multitasking: Strong organizational skills to handle phone inquiries and walk-in guests simultaneously.


Eligibility Criteria

  • Gender: This role is open to FEMALE applicants only.

  • Location: Applicants must currently reside in Abuja, FCT. Candidates based outside Abuja will not be considered.
