Job Description:
We are seeking a commercially-minded Reservations Sales Supervisor to lead our booking operations and drive property revenue. In this role, you will act as both a sales strategist and a team leader—identifying new business opportunities, up-selling premium services, and ensuring your team delivers a seamless guest experience. You will be responsible for navigating market trends, managing room inventory in real-time, and building long-term guest loyalty. Requirements:
1. Revenue Maximization & Market Intelligence
Strategic Sales: Identify and close high-value reservation opportunities to achieve personal and property revenue targets.
Market Analysis: Maintain a deep understanding of local competitors, economic trends, and supply/demand dynamics to position the property effectively.
Yield Management: Monitor same-day selling procedures to maximize Room Revenue (RevPAR) and manage property occupancy levels.
Negotiation: Utilize creative selling and advanced negotiation skills to close complex contracts and business opportunities outside standard parameters.
2. Operational Excellence & Quality Control
Inventory Accuracy: Oversee the tracking system for reservation sales orders, monitor group forecasts, and coordinate with Convention Services for rooming lists.
Billing & Logistics: Review daily arrivals to ensure accurate billing instructions and manage waitlists according to priority protocols.
Administrative Leadership: Execute all operational aspects of booked business, including generating proposals, writing contracts, and managing guest correspondence.
Audit & Compliance: Track no-show reservations, process relevant charges, and ensure all brand standards are met.
3. Exceptional Guest Service & Loyalty
Relationship Building: Serve as a brand ambassador by understanding guest needs and recommending features that exceed expectations.
Issue Resolution: Handle guest complaints and disputes using "Instant Pacification" procedures to turn challenges into loyalty opportunities.
Service Basics: Ensure the team provides consistent, high-quality service that aligns with the property's daily service basics.
4. Team Leadership & Human Resources
Training & Mentoring: Develop and maintain a departmental orientation program and utilize on-the-job training tools to upskill Reservation Sales Agents.
Performance Monitoring: Conduct regular call monitoring to provide feedback and ensure sales quality.
Workforce Management: Create monthly labor schedules and manage daily work assignments to ensure optimal coverage.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education & Experience
Option A: High school diploma or GED; no prior work experience required (Entry-level leadership track).
Option B: 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Business Administration, or Marketing PLUS 2 years of experience in Sales, Guest Services, or Front Desk operations.
Core Competencies
Sales Prowess: Proven ability to up-sell and close business in a competitive environment.
Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret occupancy data and market trends to make real-time pricing recommendations.
