Job Description:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Engineering Assistant to support the technical operations and project execution at our Technical School in Ofada, Ogun State. In this role, you will act as the operational bridge between project concepts and their physical execution. Your mission is to ensure that all technical projects—from infrastructural upgrades to educational laboratory setups—are delivered on time, within budget, and to exact technical specifications.
As an Engineering Assistant, you will manage the delicate balance of resource allocation, vendor coordination, and stakeholder engagement. This is a role for a technically-minded professional who thrives on "the plan" and has the discipline to maintain the comprehensive documentation required for a high-standard educational institution.
Requirements:
1. Project Planning & Technical Feasibility
Scope Development: Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives, ensuring every initiative is technically feasible and resource-aligned.
Detailed Mapping: Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans (Gantt charts) to track milestones, deadlines, and progress.
Resource Governance: Ensure the availability and strategic allocation of internal resources and equipment for flawless execution.
2. Vendor Management & Execution
Third-Party Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for external vendors and contractors, ensuring their work meets the school’s quality and safety standards.
Change Management: Utilize verification techniques to manage and document changes in project scope, schedule, or costs, ensuring "scope creep" is contained.
On-Time Delivery: Drive projects to completion within the agreed-upon timeframe and budgetary constraints.
3. Technical Documentation & Compliance
Record Integrity: Create and maintain a rigorous library of technical documentation, including manuals, blueprints, project reports, and vendor contracts.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all technical activities on-site comply with standard engineering practices and school policies.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Minimum of BA/BSc/HND in an Engineering or Technical field.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in project coordination or engineering support.
Location: Must be able to work Onsite in Ofada, Ogun State (with occasional flexibility for remote work).
