Job Description:

We are seeking a high-integrity and meticulous Weighbridge Operator to lead our scale house operations. In a high-volume industrial environment, the weighbridge is the critical gateway for all raw materials and finished goods. Your mission is to ensure 100% accuracy in recording the weight of every vehicle entering and leaving the facility.

As the primary gatekeeper of tonnage, you will prevent inventory leakage and ensure that every delivery note matches the physical load. Requirements:

1. Precision Weighing & Inventory Control

• Mass Verification: Operate the weighbridge to capture accurate Gross, Tare, and Net weights for all inbound and outbound heavy-duty vehicles.

• Discrepancy Identification: Immediately flag and investigate any weight variances that fall outside the allowable tolerance levels.

• Documentation Excellence: Issue accurate weighbridge tickets and ensure they are cross-referenced with delivery notes, waybills, and purchase orders.

2. Data Governance & Reporting

• Digital Logging: Maintain a clean and real-time electronic database of all vehicle movements and load details.

• Reporting: Prepare daily and weekly tonnage reports to assist the production and finance teams in inventory reconciliation.

• Compliance: Ensure all records are filed according to company policy and are ready for internal audit at any time.

3. Site Coordination & Safety

• Traffic Flow Management: Coordinate the orderly movement of trucks on and off the scale to minimize congestion in the facility.

• Health & Safety (HSE): Ensure drivers adhere to site safety protocols (e.g., wearing PPE, remaining in the cabin) during the weighing process.

• Equipment Stewardship: Perform daily checks on the weighbridge to ensure the scale is clean, balanced, and functioning correctly, reporting any technical faults to maintenance immediately.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Education: OND / HND or equivalent in a relevant field.

• Experience: Previous experience in a logistics, warehouse, or manufacturing weighbridge role is a significant advantage.

• Tech IQ: Must be computer literate with proficiency in basic database entry or Excel.
