Job Description:

Paras Energy is seeking a disciplined and technically proficient Civil Engineer to lead our site construction activities in Kano. In this role, you are the bridge between architectural blueprints and structural reality. Your mission is to oversee the day-to-day execution of large-scale building, industrial, and infrastructure projects, ensuring every millimetre of marking and every hour of labor aligns with our rigorous quality and safety standards.

As the Site Civil Engineer, you will be the primary authority on-site for daily planning, leveling, and contractor management. We are looking for a professional with over 4 years of experience who can handle the complexities of industrial-grade construction while maintaining meticulous digital records and reports.

Requirements:

1. Site Execution & Technical Precision

• Surveying & Setting Out: Take full ownership of marking out and leveling construction sites, ensuring high-precision alignment with engineering designs.

• Daily Workflow Planning: Develop and monitor daily work schedules to ensure resources are utilized efficiently and milestones are met.

• Infrastructure Oversight: Manage the structural integrity and execution of diverse projects ranging from residential buildings to heavy industrial and infrastructure works.

2. Contractor Coordination & Delivery

• Strategic Coordination: Act as the primary liaison for contractors, ensuring that day-to-day activities are synchronized and quality standards are strictly enforced.

• Timeline Governance: Monitor project progress to ensure the timely delivery of all site works, proactively resolving bottlenecks before they impact the critical path.

• Resource Management: Ensure that materials and equipment are delivered and utilized according to the project specifications.

3. Reporting & Technical Documentation

• Digital Record Keeping: Utilize AutoCAD for real-time design adjustments and MS Office Suite (Excel/Word/PowerPoint) to maintain comprehensive daily and weekly progress reports.

• Stakeholder Communication: Provide clear, data-backed updates to the regional management team regarding site challenges, material status, and completion percentages.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Education: HND or Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc./B.Eng) in Civil Engineering.

• Experience: Minimum of 4+ years of active experience as a Site Civil Engineer, specifically handling Building, Industrial, and Infrastructure projects.

• Location IQ: Deep familiarity with construction logistics and environmental conditions in Kano and Northern Nigeria.

Core Competencies

• Software Mastery: High proficiency in AutoCAD for drafting and technical review; advanced skills in Excel for project tracking.

• Field Technicality: Hands-on expertise in leveling, site marking, and interpreting complex structural drawings.

• Leadership: Proven ability to manage large teams of contractors and laborers in a high-pressure environment.
