Job Description:

We are seeking a high-precision Civil Engineer to lead the design, planning, and management of diverse infrastructure projects across Abuja. In a rapidly expanding urban landscape like the FCT, infrastructure resilience is paramount. Your mission is to engineer high-quality solutions, with a specific focus on stormwater management and integrated infrastructure systems.

As a core member of our project team in Utako, you will serve as the technical link between architectural vision and structural reality. You will manage the entire project lifecycle—from interpreting complex specifications to ensuring on-site safety and regulatory compliance. Requirements:

1. Integrated Infrastructure Design

• Technical Design: Utilize advanced civil engineering principles to design and plan infrastructure projects that are sustainable and cost-effective.

• Stormwater Expertise: Develop and implement robust stormwater management systems to mitigate flood risks and ensure effective urban drainage.

• Drawing Interpretation: Analyze and interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure structural integrity and functional alignment.

2. Project Lifecycle Management

• Strategic Planning: Lead the effective execution of project designs, ensuring that timelines are met without compromising on quality or safety.

• Collaboration: Partner with architects, surveyors, and project managers to ensure seamless integration of civil engineering components into the broader project scope.

• Quality & Compliance: Evaluate construction plans to ensure strict adherence to Nigerian construction regulations, safety codes, and legal requirements.

3. Reporting & Technical Governance

• Reporting: Develop detailed technical reports, feasibility studies, and progress updates for senior management and stakeholders.

• Risk Assessment: Identify potential engineering challenges or safety risks early and implement effective problem-solving strategies to resolve them.

• Safety Stewardship: Ensure all site activities align with health and safety regulations to maintain a zero-incident work environment.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

• Status: Relevant professional certifications (e.g., COREN, NSE) are a significant advantage.

• Location: Must be able to work full-time, on-site in Utako, Abuja.

Core Competencies

• Technical IQ: Deep proficiency in civil engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and structural analysis principles.
