Job Description:

• Develop and execute business development strategies to grow the bank’s mortgage and retail portfolio.
• Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities in housing finance, property acquisition, and construction loans.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, real estate agents, cooperatives, and institutional clients.
• Lead deposit mobilization and product cross-selling initiatives to increase revenue.
• Manage and coach business development officers to ensure achievement of sales and performance goals.
• Conduct market research and provide insights to support product innovation and client acquisition strategies.
• Prepare business proposals, loan recommendations, and performance reports.
• Represent the Bank at business forums, property exhibitions, and client meetings.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal credit and operational standards.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5–6 years’ experience in mortgage banking, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding loan and revenue targets.
• Deep understanding of mortgage products, property financing, and real estate market dynamics.
• Strong business development, relationship management, and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM applications.
• High level of initiative and strategic thinking.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Banking & Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• An MBA or professional certification (e.g., CIBN, CIM, ACCA) will be an advantage.
