Job Description:
We are seeking a high-performing Senior Business Development Manager to lead our market expansion and client acquisition efforts. This role is a strategic blend of relationship management, technical solutioning, and team leadership. You will be responsible for identifying high-value opportunities in the IT sector, developing robust sales pipelines, and maintaining long-term partnerships. As a senior member of the team, you will not only drive individual revenue goals but also mentor junior sales talent and collaborate with our design and technical teams to ensure we deliver competitive, high-margin solutions.
Requirements:
1. Strategic Growth & Market Expansion
Market Intelligence: Conduct deep-dive research into IT industry trends and competitor positioning to identify untapped market segments.
Pipeline Engineering: Proactively contact and meet with potential clients to establish new business relationships and build a sustainable sales funnel.
New Territory Development: Pioneer new sales areas and implement diversified methods to improve overall market share.
2. Technical Solutioning & Collaboration
Consultative Proposals: Use technical proficiency and software tools to create complex proposals that address specific client pain points.
Cross-Functional Synergy: Collaborate with the Design and Technical teams to ensure that proposed solutions are both feasible and profitable.
Value Positioning: Maintain a master-level understanding of company products/services to keep the business competitive in high-stakes negotiations.
3. Leadership & Relationship Management
Account Stewardship: Manage and grow current client relationships, identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
Mentorship: Train and coach junior salespeople, sharing best practices to help them meet expectations and hit collective sales goals.
Organizational Excellence: Set priorities and manage workflows in high-pressure, uncertain environments to ensure all targets are met.
Qualifications and Skills:
Experience & Education
Academic: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
Tenure: Approximately 5 years of proven sales experience, specifically within IT, Business Solutions, or a related technology sector.
Technical Proficiency: Ability to use specialized software and tools to create proposals and architect client solutions.
Core Competencies
Communication Mastery: Exceptional ability to express both technical and non-technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.
Organizational Agility: Proactive and highly organized with a demonstrated ability to handle work under stressful or uncertain conditions.
Negotiation & Presentation: Polished presentation skills with the ability to influence C-suite decision-makers.
