Job Description:

We are looking for a sharp, organized, and highly motivated NYSC member to join our Procurement team in Yaba. This entry-level role is a foundational step into the world of supply chain management. You will support the Procurement department in sourcing materials, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring the firm receives the best value for its expenditures.

The ideal candidate is a fresh graduate with a background in Business Administration who is comfortable navigating spreadsheets and possesses the "people skills" needed to negotiate with suppliers. Requirements:

1. Sourcing & Vendor Coordination

  • Supplier Liaison: Assist in communicating with vendors, requesting quotes, and ensuring timely delivery of goods.

  • Market Research: Conduct price comparisons and research new suppliers to ensure the firm maintains a cost-effective supply chain.

  • Order Processing: Support the preparation of Purchase Orders (POs) and track their progress from approval to delivery.

2. Logistics & Documentation

  • Record Keeping: Maintain meticulous files of all procurement documents, including invoices, delivery notes, and contracts.

  • Inventory Support: Work closely with the warehouse team to confirm that received goods match the quality and quantity specified in orders.

  • Reporting: Assist in drafting weekly procurement reports using Microsoft Excel to track spending and vendor performance.

3. Administrative Support

  • Meeting Coordination: Assist in scheduling meetings with key suppliers and documenting minutes for the procurement team.

  • Office Logistics: Manage internal requisitions for office supplies and ensure departments are stocked with necessary materials.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • NYSC Status: Must be a currently serving or newly posted NYSC member in Lagos.

  • Education: B.Sc or HND in Business Administration or a related Social Science field.

  • Location: Must be able to commute to Yaba, Lagos.

  • Gender Preference: Male preferred (to balance current team demographics).

Core Competencies

  • Technical IQ: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel for data tracking and Word for professional correspondence).

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for professional negotiation and vendor relations.

  • Organization: Strong ability to multitask and manage documentation with a high degree of accuracy.
