Crossover Microfinance Bank Limited was first incorporated under the name Pacific Savings and Loans Ltd in 1992. With a new focus and team in 2010 the bank was later rebranded Crossover Savings and Loans Ltd aka Crossover Mortgage Bankers. With the ever growing financial need in the retail sector and with new investors, Crossover remodeled its operations from mortgage to microfinance in 2014 to empower micro and small scale businesses in the retail sector. Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Software QA Analyst to join our development team. In this role, you will be the final gatekeeper of quality, ensuring that our web and mobile applications are reliable, secure, and user-friendly. You will be responsible for the full testing lifecycle—from analyzing requirements and creating test plans to executing manual tests and tracking defects. The ideal candidate thrives in an Agile environment and understands that quality is not just about finding bugs, but about preventing them through collaboration and rigorous process management.
Requirements:
1. Test Planning & Documentation
Strategy Development: Create and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases mapped directly to software requirements and user stories.
Documentation Lifecycle: Prepare and update product-related test documentation, ensuring it remains accurate throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC).
Configuration Management: Assist with code and documentation configuration management to ensure version control and environment stability.
2. Test Execution & Defect Management
Multi-Platform Testing: Perform functional, system integration (SIT), and regression testing across both web and mobile platforms.
Bug Tracking: Execute test cases, log detailed defects in tracking systems, and monitor their resolution through to closure.
Specialized Testing: Conduct system and acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the product meets business goals and end-user needs.
3. Agile Collaboration & Reporting
Team Synergy: Participate actively in requirement reviews, sprint planning, and daily Agile ceremonies to provide a "Quality" perspective.
Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular test status updates and proactively highlight potential quality risks or blockers to project stakeholders.
Cross-Functional Liaison: Work closely with Developers, Product Managers, and Ops teams to ensure a seamless and high-quality release process.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education & Experience
Academic Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Professional History: 2+ years of software testing experience with a strong foundation in software engineering principles.
Methodology: Proven experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
Technical Competencies
Manual & Automation Testing: Strong hands-on experience with manual testing; exposure to automation tools (e.g., Selenium) is a significant advantage.
Toolbox: Familiarity with industry-standard tools like JIRA, TestRail, Postman (for API testing), and JMeter (for performance testing).
Configuration & Data: Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., SVN, Git) and basic knowledge of SQL queries for data verification.
Testing Depth: Ability to perform functional and integration testing; experience with performance or stress testing is a plus.
