Job Description:
We are seeking a results-driven SME Marketer to act as a strategic engine for the bank’s SME portfolio. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, acquiring, and managing Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) clients to grow both our loan book and deposit base.
The ideal candidate is a blend of a high-energy salesperson and a disciplined credit analyst. You understand the unique operational hurdles SMEs face and can offer financial solutions that drive their growth while protecting the bank's assets. Requirements:
1. Client Acquisition & Market Penetration
Strategic Onboarding: Proactively identify and acquire new SME customers within high-growth target markets to expand the bank’s footprint.
Relationship Architecture: Develop and nurture long-term partnerships with business owners, serving as their primary advisor for financial products and services.
Deposit Mobilization: Drive the growth of the bank's deposit base through aggressive liability generation from SME operations.
2. Credit Governance & Portfolio Management
Business Evaluation: Conduct rigorous preliminary credit assessments and business site visits to evaluate the viability and cash flow of prospective SME borrowers.
Portfolio Health: Monitor your assigned loan portfolio continuously to ensure high performance, identifying early warning signs of default and ensuring 100% timely repayment.
Risk Mitigation: Perform fundamental financial analysis to determine appropriate loan limits and structures tailored to specific business cycles.
3. Compliance & Operational Integrity
KYC/AML Excellence: Ensure every client onboarding process strictly adheres to "Know Your Customer" (KYC) and "Anti-Money Laundering" (AML) regulations.
Field Efficiency: Manage independent field operations, balancing time between new business development and existing client maintenance.
Target Achievement: Consistently meet and exceed monthly performance benchmarks for both asset (loans) and liability (deposits) growth.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Banking & Finance, Economics, or a related field.
Experience: 3–5 years of dedicated experience in SME banking, sales, or business development. Experience in the microfinance sector is a significant advantage.
Technical IQ: Strong command of Microsoft Office and basic financial modeling/analysis.
Core Competencies
Negotiation: Ability to close complex deals and persuade savvy business owners.
Credit Intuition: A sharp eye for analyzing business operations and assessing creditworthiness.
Drive: Highly result-oriented with the stamina to work independently and in the field to meet a monthly target of 80% to trigger bonuses.
