Nicole Sinclair Consulting is a dynamic Human Resources Consulting firm. We are positioned to help nurture your business, its people and maximize vision.
Job Description:
Our client, a leading player in the manufacturing sector, is seeking a high-caliber HR & Operations Manager to provide strategic leadership and direct oversight of all human resources and plant operations. In a high-volume production environment, workforce stability is the engine of profitability. Your mission is to harmonize industrial relations, manage a shift-based workforce, and oversee critical operational pillars—including facilities, expatriate logistics, and union negotiations.
This is a senior management role for a seasoned professional with 10–15 years of experience who understands the "factory pulse." You will be the primary architect of workforce efficiency, ensuring that Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA) are administered fairly, absenteeism is minimized, and facilities are maintained to peak standards.
Requirements:
1. Industrial Relations & Workforce Stability
Union Governance: Lead the negotiation, interpretation, and administration of Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA), ensuring a strike-free, productive environment.
Disciplinary Leadership: Manage high-stakes grievance handling, disciplinary processes, and workplace investigations within a unionized production setting.
Shift Optimization: Partner with plant leadership to solve workforce planning challenges, including shift structures, absenteeism trends, and productivity bottlenecks.
2. Technical Operations & Expatriate Management
Immigration & Mobility: Oversee complex immigration processes for expatriate technical staff, ensuring 100% compliance with work permits and regulatory quotas.
Benefits & Health: Direct the administration of HMO management, monitoring vendor performance and analyzing workforce health trends in collaboration with HSE to reduce operational downtime.
Corporate Travel: Lead logistics for technical staff, plant leadership, and international contractors, ensuring seamless movement in support of production targets.
3. Facilities & Infrastructure Management
Plant Infrastructure: Direct facilities management across factory and office locations, overseeing utilities coordination, vendor management, and maintenance of production-support infrastructure.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure all factory locations comply with local labor laws, factory regulations, and workplace safety standards (HSE).
Data Governance: Maintain "audit-ready" employee records and incident reports in strict alignment with data protection requirements.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Experience: 10–15 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3–5 years at a senior level specifically within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in HR, Industrial Relations, Law, or Business (Master’s degree preferred).
Certification: Professional HR certification (e.g., CIPM, SHRM, or CIPD) is a distinct advantage.
Domain Knowledge: Deep expertise in the labor laws and factory regulations of Nigeria or Ghana.
Core Competencies
Negotiation Power: Proven ability to engage and negotiate with union representatives and labor regulators.
Analytical Capability: High proficiency in interpreting workforce data, absenteeism trends, and operational risk indicators.
Operational Execution: Ability to manage high-volume workforce operations in a fast-paced, high-pressure production environment.
