Job Description:
Lumos Nigeria is seeking a visionary and hands-on Head of Human Resources & Facilities to lead our people and workplace strategy. With a workforce of over 250 employees spread across corporate and field-based operations, your mission is to build a high-performance culture that powers our mission of sustainable energy.
As a strategic advisor to the executive team, you will bridge the gap between business objectives and organizational health. You will oversee the entire employee lifecycle—from strategic workforce planning and payroll compliance to facilities management and workplace safety. Requirements:
1. Strategic People Leadership & Culture
Strategic Advisory: Serve as a trusted partner to leadership on organizational design, succession planning, and culture transformation.
Talent Acceleration: Lead strategic workforce planning and employer branding to attract and retain top-tier talent in a competitive market.
Change Management: Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) while leading organizational restructuring or system implementations.
2. Payroll, Compliance & Governance
Statutory Excellence: Ensure 100% compliance with Nigerian labor laws and statutory remittances, including PAYE/LIRS, Pension, ITF, NSITF, and NHF.
Data Privacy: Govern HR operations in strict alignment with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) and Group audit requirements.
Compensation & Benefits: Oversee accurate payroll administration, gratuity, and end-of-service (EOS) settlements.
3. Learning, Performance & Employee Relations
High-Performance Culture: Lead KPI-driven performance management processes and leadership development programs.
Employee Relations: Oversee grievance handling and disciplinary procedures, ensuring a fair and consistent application of company policy.
L&D Frameworks: Design and implement learning paths that identify and develop high-potential employees for key leadership roles.
4. Facilities, Security & Administration
Workplace Safety: Oversee office facilities and ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
Vendor Management: Optimize procurement and manage relationships with service providers, landlords, and security agencies.
Business Continuity: Develop emergency preparedness plans to ensure the safety and productivity of both corporate and field-based teams.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Experience: 10–15 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Sector Expertise: Proven success managing both corporate and field-based workforces in a fast-paced environment.
Legal Mastery: Strong command of Nigerian Labour Law, taxation, and pensions.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in HR or Business (Master’s/MBA preferred).
Certifications: Professional certification (CIPM, SHRM, or HRCI) is highly desirable.
Core Competencies
Leadership: Exceptional coaching and stakeholder management capabilities.
Analytical IQ: Ability to translate HR metrics (turnover, cost-per-hire) into actionable business insights.
Integrity: High discretion and sound judgment in handling sensitive organizational matters.
