Job Description:
Fernhill is transitioning from startup agility to systematic operational excellence, and we need a meticulous HR Executive to anchor our day-to-day people operations. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be the primary custodian of our HR processes. This is not a strategy development role; it is a high-stakes execution role.
Your mission is to ensure that our team of 27–35 employees experiences seamless HR support—from the moment they receive an offer letter to their final day of offboarding. You will own the Zoho People ecosystem, coordinate payroll with precision, and serve as the professional first point of contact for all employee inquiries. Requirements:
1. Talent Lifecycle Coordination
End-to-End Recruitment: Manage the pipeline from job posting and CV screening to scheduling interviews and conducting background checks.
Onboarding & Offboarding: Execute a "five-star" first-day experience. Handle all documentation, IT coordination, and Zoho setup for new hires, and manage graceful exits for departing staff.
Performance Support: Serve as the administrative engine for review cycles, tracking completion and maintaining records to ensure every employee is heard.
2. HRIS & Data Governance (Zoho People)
System Administration: Serve as the "Power User" for Zoho People, maintaining 100% accuracy in employee records, attendance tracking, and leave management.
Payroll Coordination: Partner with Finance to verify monthly data, statutory deductions (Tax, Pension), and bonuses, ensuring error-free and timely salary processing.
Compliance & Benefits: Manage HMO enrollments and pension remittances, ensuring our operations remain fully compliant with Nigerian Labor Law.
3. Documentation & Employee Experience
Record Management: Maintain a "gold-standard" filing system (physical and digital) that is audit-ready at all times.
Policy Advocacy: Keep the employee handbook updated and respond to routine queries regarding leave, benefits, and workplace procedures.
Engagement & Culture: Organize team-building activities and recognition programs that turn our company values into lived experiences.
Qualifications and Skills:
Essential Requirements
Experience: 3–5 years in HR Operations or Administration, preferably within a tech or creative agency.
Systems IQ: Hands-on experience with HRIS (Zoho People is a major plus) and Google Workspace.
Local Knowledge: Solid understanding of Nigerian Labor Law, statutory deductions, and payroll coordination.
Mindset: A process-oriented approach with extreme attention to detail and a commitment to total confidentiality.
