Job Description:

We are seeking a proactive and career-driven HR Intern to join our team in Mabushi, Abuja. This role is exclusively open to fresh NYSC Corps Members who have just commenced their service year and are looking to build a formidable foundation in Human Resources.

As an HR Intern, you will work directly under the mentorship of the HR Manager, transitioning from theoretical knowledge to hands-on practice. You won’t just be "handling files"; you will be integrated into the core of our people operations—from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations and administrative compliance.

Requirements:

1. Recruitment & Onboarding Support

  • Talent Sourcing: Assist in posting job openings, screening CVs, and coordinating interview schedules for various departments.

  • First Impressions: Support the HR Manager in welcoming new hires and ensuring their documentation (ID cards, work tools, and contracts) is ready for their first day.

2. HR Administration & Records Management

  • Digital & Physical Filing: Maintain and update employee records with 100% accuracy, ensuring that all staff files are compliant and up to date.

  • Document Drafting: Assist in preparing official letters, internal memos, and HR reports using MS Word and Excel.

  • Confidentiality: Learn the critical importance of data privacy by handling sensitive staff information with absolute discretion.

3. Office Operations & Employee Engagement

  • Logistical Assistance: Provide administrative support to ensure the HR office runs smoothly, including managing office supplies and staff attendance logs.

  • Culture Advocacy: Assist in organizing team-building activities, staff meetings, and employee wellness initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills:

Mandatory Profile

  • NYSC Status: Must be a fresh Corps Member who recently started their service year in Abuja (FCT).

  • Location: Must be able to commute easily to Mabushi, Abuja.

  • Education: Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.

Core Competencies

  • Career Intent: A genuine desire to build a long-term career in Human Resources.

  • Experience: Previous experience as an Admin or HR Assistant (via internships or school projects) is a major plus.

  • Tech IQ: Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel for data entry and Word for formal letters).

  • Communication: Clear, professional, and friendly interpersonal skills.
