Job Description:

Choice Hospitality is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Human Resources Officer to anchor our daily people operations. In the hospitality industry, our employees are the brand; your mission is to ensure we attract, retain, and develop the best talent to deliver world-class service.

You will serve as a vital link between management and staff, balancing the technical rigors of Nigerian Labor Law compliance with the "soft skills" required for high-impact employee relations. If you have 1–3 years of post-NYSC experience and a "solution-first" approach to HR, we invite you to grow your career with us.

Requirements:

1. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

  • End-to-End Recruitment: Manage the sourcing, screening, and interviewing process for both front-of-house and back-of-house hospitality roles.

  • Cultural Integration: Lead the onboarding experience to ensure new hires are aligned with Choice Hospitality’s service standards and core values.

  • Database Management: Maintain an active talent pipeline to ensure rapid backfilling of critical hospitality positions.

2. Performance Management & Employee Relations

  • Appraisal Coordination: Assist in the implementation of performance management systems, ensuring objective feedback and professional development tracking.

  • Conflict Resolution: Act as a mediator in employee relations matters, fostering a harmonious and productive workplace environment.

  • Policy Enforcement: Develop and implement HR policies, ensuring all staff members understand their rights and responsibilities.

3. Compliance & HR Administration

  • Regulatory Governance: Ensure all HR operations comply with the Nigerian Labour Act and relevant hospitality industry regulations.

  • Data Stewardship: Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, managing payroll inputs, attendance, and leave tracking.

  • Reporting: Prepare weekly and monthly HR reports on turnover, headcount, and engagement levels for management review.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Education: Bachelor’s or HND in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Experience: 1–3 years post-NYSC experience in a dedicated HR role.

  • Legal Literacy: Solid understanding of Nigerian Labor Laws and HR best practices.

  • Tech IQ: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with HR software/HRIS.

Core Competencies

  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills with the ability to manage diverse personalities.

  • Integrity: An unshakeable commitment to confidentiality and ethical conduct.

  • Organization: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple operational tasks simultaneously.

  • Hospitality Mindset: A proactive nature that thrives in a customer-centric, high-energy environment.
