Job Description:
Choice Hospitality is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Human Resources Officer to anchor our daily people operations. In the hospitality industry, our employees are the brand; your mission is to ensure we attract, retain, and develop the best talent to deliver world-class service.
You will serve as a vital link between management and staff, balancing the technical rigors of Nigerian Labor Law compliance with the "soft skills" required for high-impact employee relations. Requirements:
1. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
End-to-End Recruitment: Manage the sourcing, screening, and interviewing process for both front-of-house and back-of-house hospitality roles.
Cultural Integration: Lead the onboarding experience to ensure new hires are aligned with Choice Hospitality’s service standards and core values.
Database Management: Maintain an active talent pipeline to ensure rapid backfilling of critical hospitality positions.
2. Performance Management & Employee Relations
Appraisal Coordination: Assist in the implementation of performance management systems, ensuring objective feedback and professional development tracking.
Conflict Resolution: Act as a mediator in employee relations matters, fostering a harmonious and productive workplace environment.
Policy Enforcement: Develop and implement HR policies, ensuring all staff members understand their rights and responsibilities.
3. Compliance & HR Administration
Regulatory Governance: Ensure all HR operations comply with the Nigerian Labour Act and relevant hospitality industry regulations.
Data Stewardship: Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, managing payroll inputs, attendance, and leave tracking.
Reporting: Prepare weekly and monthly HR reports on turnover, headcount, and engagement levels for management review.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Bachelor’s or HND in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: 1–3 years post-NYSC experience in a dedicated HR role.
Legal Literacy: Solid understanding of Nigerian Labor Laws and HR best practices.
Tech IQ: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with HR software/HRIS.
