Job Description:

We are seeking a high-caliber Senior Cyber Security Architect to serve as the lead designer and guardian of our enterprise security infrastructure. In this role, you will be the primary architect of our defense-in-depth strategy, responsible for planning and overseeing the implementation of security controls across complex, hybrid, and cloud-native environments. You are not just a technical expert; you are a strategic partner who can translate evolving cyber threats into actionable business risk models, ensuring our organization remains resilient in an increasingly volatile digital landscape.

Requirements:

1. Enterprise Security Strategy & Roadmapping

• Visionary Planning: Develop and maintain a multi-year security roadmap that aligns our technical defenses with broader business objectives and risk tolerance.

• Architecture Blueprints: Design detailed security frameworks for high-availability networks and multi-cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).

• Governance & Standards: Define and enforce security architecture standards based on industry frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001, or SABSA.

2. Threat Modeling & Design Integrity

• Security Reviews: Conduct rigorous architectural assessments and threat modeling sessions to identify and remediate design gaps in both legacy and greenfield systems.

• DevSecOps Integration: Embed security protocols into the software development lifecycle (SDLC), ensuring "Security by Design" is a fundamental principle of our engineering culture.

• Modernization: Research, evaluate, and select advanced security technologies (SIEM, IAM, SASE, and Zero Trust architectures) to continuously evolve our defense stack.

3. Executive Liaison & Leadership

• Risk Translation: Act as a critical bridge between technical engineering teams and the executive board, translating complex cyber risks into business-impact language.

• Mentorship & Culture: Lead and coach junior security architects and engineers, fostering a proactive, security-first mindset across the entire IT organization.

• Stakeholder Management: Influence cross-functional teams to prioritize security requirements during the initial design phases of business projects.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Experience

• Tenure: At least 5 years in Information Security, with a minimum of 3 years focused specifically on Security Architecture or Senior Engineering.

• Cloud & Hybrid Mastery: Proven experience securing hybrid-cloud environments and modernizing legacy infrastructures.

Technical Mastery

• Network & Protocols: Deep understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, DNS, and secure network segmentation.

• Identity & Access: Expertise in modern identity management protocols including OAuth, SAML, and OpenID Connect.

• Software Security: Familiarity with encryption standards and secure development practices within a DevSecOps pipeline.

Education & Certifications

• Academic: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

• Credentials: High-level certifications such as CISSP, CISM, SABSA, or TOGAF are highly desirable and will be given preference.
