Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Administrator to serve as a cornerstone of our Infrastructure team. This role is designed for a technical expert who thrives on maintaining the stability, security, and performance of Windows-based server environments and Hyper-V virtualization. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of our server infrastructure—from the deployment of Windows Server 2022/2025 to the optimization of complex virtual clusters. The ideal candidate is a proactive troubleshooter with a strong command of automation (PowerShell) and a commitment to ensuring 99.9% uptime through robust disaster recovery and high-availability strategies.

Requirements:

1. Windows Server & Identity Management

• Core Services Governance: Administer and optimize the backbone of our network, including Active Directory (AD), DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to ensure seamless identity and access management.

• System Lifecycle: Lead the installation and configuration of the latest Windows Server iterations, managing routine patching, firmware upgrades, and security hardening.

• Automation: Leverage PowerShell to automate repetitive administrative tasks, reducing manual error and increasing operational efficiency.

2. Virtualization & Infrastructure Optimization

• Hyper-V Management: Design and manage enterprise-grade Hyper-V environments, overseeing VM templates, snapshots, and replication across clusters.

• Performance Tuning: Identify and resolve bottlenecks by optimizing resource allocation (CPU/RAM) and implementing load balancing across physical hosts.

• Storage Integration: Configure and maintain NAS/SAN storage systems to support high-performance virtualized workloads and data integrity.

3. Resilience, Security & Disaster Recovery

• High Availability (HA): Monitor and maintain failover clustering and HA configurations to prevent single points of failure.

• Backup & DR Strategy: Implement and rigorously test disaster recovery plans, ensuring system backups are reliable and recovery time objectives (RTOs) are met.

• Proactive Monitoring: Analyze system logs and performance metrics to provide timely resolutions to technical issues before they impact the business.

Qualifications and Skills:

Technical Expertise

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.

• Tenure: 3–5 years of hands-on experience as a Windows or Unix Systems Administrator.

• Operating Systems: Mastery of Windows Server (2019/2022/2025) and deep knowledge of Hyper-V.

• Scripting: Proficiency in PowerShell (Python experience is a significant advantage).

Core Competencies

• Networking: Solid understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, and firewall configurations.

• Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills to diagnose complex infrastructure issues.

• Resilience: Availability to work outside standard business hours for critical upgrades, maintenance windows, or emergencies.

• Certification: Relevant industry certifications (e.g., MCSE, Azure Administrator, or specialized virtualization certs) are highly desirable.
