Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Core Network & Signaling Engineer to design, operate, and evolve our end-to-end MVNO core infrastructure. This is a critical role that demands "telco-grade" precision within a fast-paced, startup-style environment. You will be the architect of seamless interworking between our core and multiple Mobile Network Operators (MNOs). The ideal candidate possesses deep, hands-on expertise in SS7/Diameter/SIP signaling and has a proven track record of managing complex integrations that support VoLTE, VoWiFi, and international roaming.

Requirements:

1. Core Network Architecture & Deployment

• Infrastructure Management: Design and deploy critical core elements including HLR/HSS, MME, SGSN, GGSN, PGW, SGW, and IMS components.

• Voice Evolution: Manage SIP-based voice services, ensuring the reliability of VoLTE, VoWiFi, and traditional circuit-switched voice interconnections.

• Signaling Optimization: Configure and optimize signaling interfaces (Diameter, SS7/SIGTRAN, SIP/IMS) to facilitate seamless communication between the MVNO and host MNOs.

2. Interworking & Roaming Integration

• Protocol Implementation: Lead technical integrations with host MNOs, ensuring the robust implementation of MAP, Diameter, and SIP protocols.

• Global Connectivity: Configure and troubleshoot IPX/GRX connections to support international roaming and signaling exchange.

• Vendor & MNO Diplomacy: Act as the primary technical point of contact for host MNOs on capacity planning, interface specifications, and service enablement.

3. Advanced Troubleshooting & Performance

• Incident Leadership: Act as the technical lead for incident response, resolving major network outages and service-affecting issues.

• Packet Analysis: Perform deep-dive troubleshooting of call setup failures and registration problems using Wireshark and protocol analyzers.

• Capacity Planning: Monitor network KPIs and recommend proactive upgrades to maintain high availability and quality of service (QoS).

Qualifications and Skills:

Education & Experience

• Academic Background: Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.

• Proven Tenure: 5–7 years of hands-on experience in mobile core networks with an MNO or MVNO.

• Vendor Agnostic: Demonstrated experience with multiple vendors (e.g., Ericsson, Nokia, Huawei, Mavenir, or Cisco).

Technical Mastery

• Protocols: Expert knowledge of MAP, CAP, INAP, Diameter, SIP, MGCP, and SIGTRAN.

• Architecture: Deep understanding of 2G/3G/4G/5G core architectures and IMS frameworks.

• IP Networking: Strong proficiency in routing protocols (MPLS, BGP, OSPF) as they apply to telco clouds.
