Job Description:
We are seeking a high-energy, technically-minded Sales Engineer to drive the growth of our RPM and Fuchs lubricant portfolios within the Nigerian industrial sector. This is not just a sales role; it is a technical consultancy position. You will be responsible for identifying high-value applications in the FMCG, Cement, and Construction industries, conducting on-site technical surveys, and presenting ROI-driven solutions to maintenance and procurement heads. If you are a performance-driven professional with a background in engineering and a passion for the "art of the sale," this role offers the platform to manage premium accounts and achieve significant market impact.
Requirements:
1. Technical Sales & Territory Growth
Strategic Prospecting: Implement a guided sales strategy to exceed budget targets for RPM and Fuchs brands across assigned territories.
Consultative Selling: Interact with customers as a technical consultant, conducting site surveys to identify specific machinery needs and recommending the correct high-performance lubricants.
Application Integrity: Ensure the precise application of products to maximize machinery lifespan and performance for the client.
2. Account Management & Value Positioning
Relationship Architecture: Build and maintain deep-rooted relationships with established industrial accounts, ensuring their technical needs are met with a high degree of professionalism.
Price Protection: Promote RPM brands through a "Value-Sales" process, defending premium price positioning by demonstrating long-term cost savings and efficiency gains.
Pipeline Execution: Lead the full sales lifecycle—from prospecting and technical demonstrations to high-stakes negotiations and closures.
3. Reporting & Technical Excellence
Market Intelligence: Use sales tools and databases to provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports on competitor activities, market trends, and project progress.
Continuous Learning: Commit to constant upskilling in product technologies and evolving industrial applications to remain a subject matter expert.
Financial Discipline: Maintain a minimum Gross Contribution margin of 30% on all sales activities.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education & Background
Academics: BSc or HND in a related field. An educational background in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering is a significant added advantage.
Experience: Maximum of 3 years of sales experience.
Sector Knowledge: Prior experience selling engineering spares or lubricants to the FMCG, Food & Beverage, Construction, or Cement sectors is highly desirable.

Resilience: The tenacity to manage long sales cycles and navigate "gatekeepers" in large industrial organizations.
