Job Description:
Zipline is on a mission to build the strongest team in the world to facilitate life-saving logistics. We aren't looking for a "CV pusher"; we are looking for a Recruiting Partner who acts as a consultant, a strategist, and a gatekeeper of our culture.
In this role, nothing is "plug and play." You will be hiring for new teams in emerging markets with dynamic timelines and untested hiring plans. You will be the person who identifies top-tier talent and, just as importantly, the person who provides the necessary "pushback" to hiring managers on compensation frameworks, leveling, and team structure. If you have 5+ years of experience and lead with authenticity, this is your challenge.
Requirements:
1. Strategic Business Partnership
Thought Leadership: Serve as a consultant to hiring managers, providing data-driven insights on talent pools, local advertising strategies, and interview design.
Structural Advisory: Challenge and refine job levels, compensation models, and team structures to ensure they are sustainable and competitive in the African landscape.
Process Engineering: Build and iterate on recruiting workflows to ensure Zipline remains agile as we scale into new territories.
2. Full Lifecycle Talent Acquisition
Sourcing & Engagement: Use creative platforms and deep networking to find and engage "legendary" talent—those who don't just have the skills, but share the Zipline mission.
Candidate Experience: Ensure a "first-class" journey for every applicant, maintaining high engagement from the first touchpoint to the final close.
Technical & Ops Hiring: Leverage your track record in closing high-volume operational and technical roles (with a bonus for software recruiting expertise).
3. Data-Driven Strategy & DEI
Metric Tracking: Monitor the recruiting funnel using tools like Greenhouse and GEM, using data to adjust strategies in real-time.
Diversity & Inclusion: Own and plan diverse pipelines, ensuring that Zipline’s commitment to diversity is reflected in every hiring effort across the continent.
Project Management: Coordinate complex, multi-site hiring plans with the organizational discipline of a seasoned project manager.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Experience: 5+ years of high-volume, full-lifecycle recruiting experience (preferably in a fast-paced startup or tech environment).
Technical Proficiency: Expert knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) like Greenhouse, sourcing tools like GEM, and data analysis in Excel.
Communication: Exceptional stakeholder management skills; ability to deliver "tough love" to leadership while maintaining trust.
