Job Description:

1. Engineering Design & Technical Planning

• System Design: Develop detailed blueprints for HVAC, piping, plumbing, and building services using AutoCAD or SolidWorks.

• Technical Specifications: Interpret project requirements to create mechanical designs that optimize energy efficiency and operational reliability.

• Code Compliance: Ensure all designs strictly adhere to local engineering codes, quality regulations, and safety standards.

2. Project Management & Site Supervision

• Technical Oversight: Supervise on-site technical staff and contractors to ensure installations match engineering drawings and quality benchmarks.

• Problem Solving: Diagnose and resolve mechanical failures or design conflicts in real-time to prevent project delays.

• Project Lifecycle: Manage mechanical workstreams from initial conceptualization through to testing, commissioning, and final handover.

3. Maintenance & Quality Assurance

• Quality Control: Conduct rigorous inspections of mechanical systems to ensure peak performance and longevity.

• Safety Leadership: Champion a "safety-first" culture on-site, ensuring all technical activities comply with established safety protocols.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate engineering logs, reports, and "As-Built" drawings for future maintenance and audit purposes.

Requirements:

Technical & Professional Skills

• Software Mastery: Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.

• Systems Knowledge: Deep understanding of mechanical building services, including fire protection systems, plumbing, and industrial HVAC.

• Management: Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multi-disciplinary technical teams.

• Mobility: Willingness and ability to work on-site and travel as required by project locations.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education & Experience

• Degree: Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

• History: 3–5 years of hands-on experience, preferably within the Construction or Manufacturing industries.

• Professional Standing: COREN registration (or significant progress toward certification) is a strong advantage.
