Job Description:
We are seeking a proactive and technically proficient IT Support Officer to join our Lagos Island team. In an era where technology is the heartbeat of business, your role is to provide the "Service Warranty" our organization depends on. You won't just be fixing computers; you will be ensuring that our technical infrastructure performs at its peak to drive productivity and customer satisfaction.
As the first line of defense, you will manage our help desk, providing just-in-time solutions and maintaining the hardware/software systems that underpin our daily operations. If you are a problem-solver who values low resolution times and high system availability, we want you on our team.
Requirements:
1. Service Availability & Maintenance
Infrastructure Reliability: Perform day-to-day maintenance tasks to ensure all hardware, servers, and network systems perform according to business standards.
Proactive Monitoring: Carry out operational tasks to detect potential system failures before they impact the end-user.
- Setup & Configuration: Lead the installation, configuration, and deployment of new equipment for employees and departmental units.
2. User Empowerment & Technical Assistance
Help Desk Management: Act as the central point of contact for technical problem resolution, managing tickets through their entire lifecycle.
Just-in-Time Training: Provide immediate, practical guidance to staff on software usage and hardware best practices to reduce recurring issues.
Incident Resolution: Resolve product and service issues with a focus on keeping response and resolution times (SLAs) as low as possible.
3. Network & Security Support
Connectivity Governance: Ensure smooth LAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN operations for both on-site and remote staff.
- Security Maintenance: Monitor antivirus status, firewall integrity, and ensure that all end-user devices are patched and secure.
- Asset Tracking: Maintain an accurate log of all IT assets and software licenses assigned to users.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
Experience: Proven experience in a technical support role within a corporate environment.
Certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) is a strong advantage.
Core Competencies
Troubleshooting: Advanced logical reasoning to diagnose and resolve software and hardware conflicts.
Communication: Ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms to non-technical users.
Reliability: A disciplined approach to documentation and record-keeping.
