Job Description:
We are seeking a proactive and technically sound IT Executive to lead the digital infrastructure of our Foundation in Igbo-Ukwu. In this role, you are more than just a technician; you are the custodian of the tools that empower our community, students, and youth.
You will take full ownership of the Foundation’s IT ecosystem—from maintaining a robust local network and securing vital data to ensuring our digital communication tools are always active. Requirements:
1. Infrastructure & Network Stewardship
System Maintenance: Perform regular health checks on all computer hardware, ensuring that the Foundation’s workstations and peripherals are in peak condition.
Networking: Manage and optimize the local area network (LAN) and internet connectivity to ensure seamless access for staff and program participants.
Project Management: Lead small-scale ICT projects, such as setting up new computer labs or upgrading existing digital service modules.
2. Security, Backup & Support
Data Governance: Implement and oversee a rigorous data backup schedule to prevent loss of institutional memory and project data.
IT Security: Ensure all systems are protected with updated security software and comply with basic IT safety protocols.
Troubleshooting: Act as the first point of contact for technical issues, resolving hardware malfunctions and software glitches promptly to minimize downtime.
3. Digital Communications & Web Support
Web Maintenance: Provide basic technical support for the Foundation’s website, ensuring it remains accessible to the public.
Digital Tools: Assist in the management of digital communication tools (email systems, social media interfaces, and collaboration platforms) to support the Foundation’s outreach goals.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: B.Sc/HND/ND in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. An MBA/M.Sc is an added advantage but not mandatory.
Experience: 2–4 years of hands-on experience in IT support, systems maintenance, or network administration.
Location: Candidates must be willing to work Onsite in Igbo-Ukwu, Aguata LGA, Anambra State.
Core Competencies
Technical Breadth: Strong knowledge of networking protocols, hardware repair, and data backup solutions.
Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and fix technical issues independently with minimal supervision.
Communication: Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff and community members clearly.
Salary
