Job Description:

Interswitch is seeking a visionary Head of DevOps Engineering to lead the automation, configuration, and stability of our server environments. In the world of high-velocity fintech, DevOps is the bridge between innovative code and stable, secure delivery. You will lead a team of high-performing engineers to build resilient infrastructure that powers millions of transactions.

This is a senior leadership role requiring a mastery of Cloud Native architectures (AWS/Azure) and Kubernetes. You will act as a strategic partner to the Chief Software Architect, ensuring that our software roadmaps are supported by world-class automation, security-first CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

Requirements:

1. DevOps Strategy & CI/CD Orchestration

• Application Roadmap: Create and prioritize the DevOps roadmap to align infrastructure capabilities with aggressive software development business requirements.

• Pipeline Optimization: Design and optimize end-to-end CI/CD workflows using Bitbucket Pipelines, Jenkins, and ArgoCD to ensure rapid, secure deployments.

• Automation Leadership: Direct the troubleshooting and analysis of infrastructure code, ensuring that automation is embedded in every stage of the software lifecycle.

2. Cloud Infrastructure & Kubernetes Governance

• Hybrid Cloud Management: Lead deep, hands-on management of AWS and Azure environments, ensuring high availability and cost-efficiency.

• Kubernetes Mastery: Oversee production-grade Kubernetes clusters, managing container orchestration, scaling, and service mesh configurations.

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Drive the adoption of Terraform and Ansible to build and manage immutable infrastructure, ensuring consistency across all digital channels.

3. Security, Monitoring & Performance

• DevSecOps Integration: Implement robust security measures (firewalls, encryption, source control security) and notify experts of potential threats through automated monitoring.

• Observability Architecture: Lead the deployment of Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack to provide deep visualization of system health, logging, and proactive alerting.

• Project Management: Manage a complex portfolio of DevOps projects, aligning with Software Development and Testing leads to ensure cross-functional synergy.

Qualifications and Skills:

Core Qualifications

• Education: Graduate Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.

• Experience: Minimum 8 years in DevOps Software Engineering, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership/project management capacity.

Technical Proficiencies

• Cloud: Deep expertise in AWS and Azure.

• Orchestration: Expert-level knowledge of Kubernetes in production.

• Automation: Proficient in Ansible and Terraform.

• Tooling: Skilled in ArgoCD, Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines, and ELK Stack.

• Scripting: High proficiency in Python and Bash for complex task automation.
