Job Description:
We are seeking a proactive and technically sound IT Officer to manage and optimize our organization’s digital infrastructure. In today’s business environment, IT is the pulse of productivity; your mission is to ensure 100% network uptime, robust data security, and seamless technical support for our team.
This is a hands-on role for an IT professional who enjoys solving complex hardware and software hurdles while maintaining the high-level security protocols that protect our company data. If you are a resourceful troubleshooter with a "security-first" mindset and a passion for business efficiency, we want you to lead our technical operations.
Requirements:
1. Infrastructure & Network Stewardship
Hardware Governance: Install, configure, and maintain the lifecycle of all computer hardware, servers, and peripherals.
Connectivity Mastery: Manage and optimize LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi systems to ensure uninterrupted internet access and internal networking.
System Maintenance: Monitor performance metrics to minimize downtime, performing regular system updates and critical data backups.
2. Technical Support & User Management
Helpdesk Excellence: Provide rapid-response troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues reported by staff.
Access Control: Manage user accounts, email systems, and directory permissions, ensuring employees have the right tools to perform their roles.
Productivity Support: Support IT upgrades and technology projects that enhance day-to-day business efficiency.
3. Security, Assets & Procurement
Data Defense: Implement and manage antivirus protection, firewalls, and encryption to ensure data confidentiality and protection against cyber threats.
Asset Integrity: Maintain a rigorous inventory of IT assets, software licenses, and system documentation.
Vendor & Procurement: Coordinate with vendors for equipment repairs and assist in the strategic procurement of high-quality IT hardware and software.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: HND or B.Sc. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience: 1 – 3 years of relevant IT support experience in a structured environment.
Certifications: Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, CCNA, Microsoft 365) are a significant advantage.
Core Competencies
Troubleshooting: Advanced problem-solving skills with a logical approach to diagnosing system failures.
Security Savvy: A strong understanding of network security, firewalls, and data protection best practices.
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to translate "tech-speak" into clear instructions for non-technical staff.
Resilience: Ability to work independently and maintain composure under the pressure of system outages.
