We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Description:
- We are seeking a proactive and skilled IT Officer to support our technology operations, ensure system reliability, and provide technical assistance across the organization.
- The ideal candidate will be hands-on, solution-oriented, and able to manage both hardware and software issues while contributing to the overall efficiency of our IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line technical support to staff on hardware, software, and network issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, and other IT equipment.
- Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and resolving issues promptly.
- Support and maintain company networks, internet connectivity, and servers.
- Assist in system upgrades, backups, and regular maintenance tasks.
- Ensure IT security protocols are followed, including antivirus management and user access control.
- Manage IT inventory and keep accurate records of devices and licenses.
- Collaborate with external vendors or service providers when needed.
- Support the implementation of new systems or applications.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in IT support or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365.
- Understanding of networking concepts (LAN/WAN, routers, switches).
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues effectively.
- Good documentation and reporting skills.
- Strong communication and customer-service mindset.
Preferred Skills (Added Advantage):
- Experience with IT security tools and best practices.
- Knowledge of server administration or basic database management.
- Familiarity with cloud services (Azure, AWS, Google Workspace).
