Job Description:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Database & Network Administrator to serve as the backbone of our IT operations. This role is responsible for the seamless integration of our network infrastructure and the high availability of our mission-critical data systems. You will bridge the gap between hardware connectivity and software-level data management, ensuring that our systems are secure, scalable, and optimized for performance. If you are a technical professional who excels at troubleshooting complex network topologies while maintaining the rigorous discipline required for database integrity, we want you on our team.

Requirements:

1. Network Infrastructure & Security

• Configuration & Maintenance: Install and manage enterprise-grade network hardware, including routers, switches, and wireless access points.

• Security & Access: Manage firewalls, VPNs, and security appliances to protect the perimeter. Oversee DNS, DHCP, and IP addressing schemes to ensure organized connectivity.

• Monitoring & Documentation: Proactively troubleshoot connectivity issues and maintain up-to-date network topology diagrams for disaster recovery and compliance.

2. Database System Management

• Health & Integrity: Monitor database performance to ensure high availability, optimal indexing, and zero data corruption.

• Access Control: Create and manage user roles, permissions, and security schemas to ensure data is accessible only to authorized personnel.

• Maintenance & Patching: Execute regular updates, version patching, and system optimizations to keep the database environment secure and efficient.

3. Data Protection & Business Continuity

• Disaster Recovery: Design and test robust data backup strategies to ensure minimal downtime in the event of a system failure.

• Migration & Integration: Support complex data migration projects and ensure seamless integration across various platforms and third-party APIs.

• Compliance: Ensure the entire infrastructure adheres to organizational security policies and global data protection standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education & Certifications

• Academic Background: Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Professional Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CCNA (Cisco), CompTIA Network+, MCSA/MCSE, or Oracle/SQL Server Database Certification are highly preferred.

Core Technical Skills

• Networking: Expertise in WAN/LAN configurations, VPN protocols, and firewall rule management.

• Database Management: Strong proficiency in SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server) and database administration tools.

• System Administration: Familiarity with server environments (Windows/Linux) and virtualization technologies.
