Job Description:
Greyfield Hotel & Apartments is seeking a visionary and results-driven General Manager (GM) to lead our flagship property. As the "CEO of the Hotel," you will be responsible for the total P&L, strategic direction, and operational excellence of the brand. Your role is to harmonize the efforts of Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, and Maintenance to deliver a seamless luxury experience. We are looking for a leader who can masterfully manage RevPAR and ADR while fostering a high-performance culture that turns first-time guests into lifelong advocates.
Requirements:
1. Operational Excellence & SOP Governance
Daily Oversight: Command all day-to-day operations, ensuring every department—from the kitchen to the front desk—operates at peak efficiency.
SOP Implementation: Establish and enforce rigorous Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent service delivery across all guest touchpoints.
Coordination: Act as the ultimate bridge between departments, removing silos to ensure a smooth, end-to-end guest journey.
2. Financial Stewardship & Revenue Growth
Yield Management: Maximize profitability by analyzing and optimizing key metrics, including RevPAR (Revenue Per Available Room), ADR (Average Daily Rate), and GOP (Gross Operating Profit).
Budgetary Control: Develop annual budgets and implement aggressive cost-control measures to ensure long-term financial sustainability.
Strategic Sales: Partner with the Marketing team to optimize Online Travel Agency (OTA) presence and secure high-value corporate contracts.
3. Guest Experience & Brand Reputation
Reputation Management: Drive guest satisfaction by monitoring and improving scores on TripAdvisor, Google Reviews, and Booking.com.
Service Recovery: Personally oversee the resolution of complex guest complaints, turning potential detractors into brand loyalists.
Quality Assurance: Conduct regular property audits to ensure that safety, hygiene, and aesthetic standards remain at a 5-star level.
4. Leadership & Strategic Planning
Talent Development: Recruit, mentor, and evaluate a high-performing management team, fostering a culture of accountability and professional growth.
Compliance: Ensure 100% compliance with local hospitality laws, health and safety regulations, and licensing requirements.
Board Reporting: Act as the primary liaison between the hotel and the Board/Owners, providing transparent reports on performance and future growth strategies.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education & Experience
Academic Background: Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred).
Proven Tenure: Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive experience in hotel management, with at least 3 years as a GM or Deputy GM in a reputable hotel or luxury apartment complex.
Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Nigerian hospitality landscape and global service standards.
Core Competencies
Commercial Acumen: Mastery of hotel finance, revenue management, and yield strategy.
Leadership Presence: Exceptional ability to lead, motivate, and manage a large, diverse workforce.
Crisis Management: Decisive leadership during emergencies or operational disruptions
