Job Description:
We are seeking a high-velocity and operationally elite Fleet Officer to anchor the logistics engine at our Dangote Cement Plant. In a high-volume industrial environment, success is defined by "Kinetic Sovereignty", the ability to harmonize high-frequency truck movement with the clinical precision required for FIFO (First-In-First-Out) loading, fuel (AGO) recovery, and driver management. This role is designed for a "Logistics Architect" with a degree in Transport or Mechanical Engineering who can blend "Field Grit" (managing vehicular traffic and off-loading) with the "Technical Agility" required to utilize SAP and MS Excel for reporting and performance tracking.
Requirements:
1. Fleet Orchestration & Flow Governance
Traffic Sovereignty: Manage all vehicular traffic at the Plant, ensuring the "Zero-Friction" orderliness of loading and off-loading activities to maximize depot efficiency.
Dispatch Architecture: Coordinate the loading of products onto allocated trucks on a strict FIFO basis, ensuring every dispatch is a "Source of Timeliness" for our customers.
Back-Haul Logic: Engineer high-efficiency routing by ensuring vehicles return with raw materials from designated locations whenever feasible, optimizing every kilometer of the fleet’s lifecycle.
2. Resource Integrity & Technical Synergy
Fuel Sovereignty: Execute clinical recovery of AGO (Automotive Gas Oil) for short-kilometer deviations, protecting the organization’s "Fiscal Velocity."
Workshop Diplomacy: Liaise synchronously with the Workshop to acquire real-time intelligence on truck repairs, releases, and any emergency occurrences that impact fleet availability.
Storage Stewardship: Ensure appropriate storage of all incoming materials at designated facilities, maintaining the structural integrity and easy retrieval of Plant assets.
3. QSE Stewardship & Performance Intelligence
Safety Sovereignty: Fully apply DCC's QHSE requirements and ISO standards, ensuring that all acts or omissions do not adversely affect the health and safety of personnel or the environment.
Performance Architecture: Participate in mid-year and end-of-year performance appraisals (PMS), utilizing data-driven insights to strengthen personal skills and meet target objectives.
Reporting Fidelity: Develop and submit high-impact logistics reports, providing management with "Intelligence-Driven" recommendations for corrective and preventive actions.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Transport & Logistics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in fleet or logistics management.
Technical Mastery: Proficiency in SAP and MS Office (Excel/Word); deep knowledge of ISO and QHSE norms.
