Job Description:

Are you a logistics powerhouse with the ability to turn complex delivery puzzles into seamless operations? We are a fast-growing, technology-driven e-commerce delivery company seeking an Operations Manager to lead our Lagos hub.

You will be the operational heartbeat of our largest territory, responsible for the end-to-end efficiency of parcel sorting, dispatch, and last-mile delivery. If you thrive in fast-paced environments and have a proven track record of managing high-volume logistics teams, we want to scale with you.

Requirements:

Hub & Last-Mile Management

• Daily Operations: Oversee all hub activities, including inbound linehaul arrivals, sorting, and outbound dispatch.

• SLA Mastery: Ensure all shipments are processed and delivered within the promised Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

• Capacity Planning: Manage hub resources effectively, including space optimization, vehicle utilization, and manpower scheduling.

Team Leadership & Supervision

• Personnel Management: Lead and mentor a diverse team of supervisors, warehouse staff, and dispatch riders.

• Performance Culture: Drive a culture of accountability and excellence, ensuring safety standards and company policies are strictly followed.

Optimization & Analytics

• KPI Tracking: Monitor and report on critical metrics such as Delivery Success Rate, Turnaround Time (TAT), and cost-per-delivery.

• Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance hub productivity and service quality.

• Crisis Management: Resolve operational delays, delivery challenges, and customer escalations with speed and precision.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Professional Experience: * 3–7 years in logistics, courier, or warehouse operations.

  • At least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.

• Technical Skills: * Expert knowledge of routing, last-mile delivery, and hub management.

  • Proficiency in Logistics Management Systems (LMS) and Microsoft Office.

• Core Competencies:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to build performance dashboards.

  • Exceptional leadership and decision-making abilities in high-pressure environments.
