Job Description:
We are seeking a high-integrity, analytical Finance & Operations Lead to drive the financial health and operational agility of our business. This is a critical "Right-Hand" leadership role, designed for a professional who can navigate complex spreadsheets in the morning and optimize a logistics workflow in the afternoon.
Your mission is to ensure that our growth is profitable and our processes are scalable. You will bridge the gap between finance, sales, and logistics, ensuring that every Naira spent translates into operational efficiency. If you are a detail-oriented strategist with a deep understanding of Nigerian statutory compliance and a passion for process improvement, we want you to lead our back-end success.
Requirements:
1. Financial Strategy & Commercial Control
Predictive Finance: Lead the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections to ensure the company remains liquid and growth-ready.
Profitability Stewardship: Monitor margins and costs across our product lines, providing data-driven recommendations to support pricing decisions and financial planning.
Accounting Excellence: Oversee the full accounting cycle—from daily bookkeeping and payroll to the preparation of complex quarterly and annual financial reports.
2. Operational Architecture & Supply Chain
Process Engineering: Design and document efficient workflows that eliminate bottlenecks in daily business operations.
Supply Chain Management: Oversee procurement, inventory levels, and vendor relationships to ensure high service levels and cost-effective sourcing.
Cross-Functional Synergy: Act as the central nervous system of the company, coordinating activities between Finance, Sales, Logistics, and Administration.
3. Governance, Compliance & Integrity
Statutory Rigor: Ensure 100% compliance with Nigerian tax and labor laws, including PAYE, VAT, WHT, and Pension remittances.
Internal Controls: Implement robust financial and operational controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud or waste.
Communication: Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-finance team members and leadership.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Bachelor’s degree or HND in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
Experience: Minimum of 4 years in finance or operations management (Experience in Retail, Fashion, Logistics, or E-commerce is a significant advantage).
Certification: Professional certification (ICAN/ACCA) is an added advantage.
Tech Stack: High proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, etc.).
