Job Description:
We are seeking a high-caliber Senior Credit Risk Analyst to drive the integrity of our lending operations. In the dynamic SME lending space, your role is to act as the primary gatekeeper of asset quality—balancing the drive for business growth with a rigorous "defense-first" risk mindset.
You will lead the end-to-end credit assessment process, evaluating complex facilities such as PO Finance, Bridge Loans, and Working Capital for diverse corporate clients. Beyond technical analysis, you will serve as a mentor to junior analysts and a strategic advisor to management, providing the data-driven insights necessary to navigate credit cycles safely. If you possess deep analytical depth and a proven track record in detecting fraud and financial distress, we want you to lead our risk team.
Requirements:
1. Advanced Underwriting & Financial Diagnosis
Technical Evaluation: Conduct deep-dive reviews of loan applications, analyzing financial statements, cash flow viability, and realistic projections to determine repayment capacity.
Structured Finance Review: Evaluate specialized facilities including Purchase Order (PO) Finance, Bridge Financing, and Income Discounting, ensuring each deal structure aligns with risk appetite.
Bureau Intelligence: Manage credit bureau spooling and reporting to ensure all decisions are informed by comprehensive historical data.
2. Portfolio Monitoring & Fraud Mitigation
Early Warning Systems: Continuously monitor the loan portfolio to detect early signs of financial distress, operational shifts, or potential fraudulent activities.
Risk Reporting: Generate high-impact weekly and monthly credit risk reports, providing leadership with visibility into portfolio health, non-performing loans (NPLs), and recovery trends.
Recommendation Architecture: Prepare detailed credit analysis reports that don't just state the facts but offer clear, decisive recommendations for approval or mitigation.
3. Leadership & Regulatory Compliance
Mentorship: Actively guide and mentor junior analysts, fostering a culture of technical excellence and meticulous attention to detail.
Compliance Stewardship: Ensure all lending activities remain in strict accordance with internal credit procedures and evolving regulatory policies.
Problem-Solving Aptitude: Address complex bottlenecks in the credit process and refine risk assessment methodologies to improve turnaround time without sacrificing quality.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
Experience: 4–10 years of professional experience (Experience in SME loan review is highly preferred).
Technical Skills: Mastery of financial statement analysis, numerical modeling, and credit bureau reporting systems.
Core Competencies
Analytical Depth: Ability to "look behind the numbers" to identify hidden risks in SME cash flows.
Leadership: Proven ability to manage teams and drive high-performance standards.
Communication: Refined interpersonal skills to defend credit recommendations and engage with cross-functional stakeholders.
Precision: An obsessive focus on detail to detect inconsistencies that could indicate fraud.
