Job Description:

Sage Grey is seeking a visionary Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the strategic financial evolution of our organization. As a key member of the Executive Management Team, you will do more than manage the books; you will shape corporate strategy, optimize our capital structure, and engineer the financial frameworks that support large-scale business expansion.

Requirements:

1. Strategic Financial Leadership & Capital Optimization

• Capital Structuring: Design and execute funding strategies that optimize the company’s debt-to-equity ratio and lower the weighted average cost of capital (WACC).

• Treasury & Liquidity: Oversee sophisticated liquidity management and treasury operations to ensure the company can meet its long-term investment obligations.

• Investment Advisory: Provide high-level financial analysis for strategic transactions, mergers, and business expansions.

2. Governance, Risk & Internal Controls

• Risk Frameworks: Safeguard institutional assets by implementing robust internal controls and enterprise risk management (ERM) frameworks.

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure absolute adherence to statutory requirements, tax planning, and financial regulations within the Nigerian and global contexts.

• Board Liaison: Report directly to the CEO and functionally to the Board/Audit Committee, providing transparent, data-driven performance narratives.

3. Performance Management & Value Creation

• FP&A Stewardship: Lead the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to ensure organizational agility.

• Shareholder Value: Enhance enterprise value through prudent financial stewardship and the optimization of operational performance.

• Investor Relations: Manage high-stakes relationships with investors and stakeholders, ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of strategic information.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.

• Experience: 8–12 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

• Certification: Mandatory professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent).

• Industry Context: Proven experience in Financial Services, Corporate Finance, Energy, or Infrastructure sectors.
