About Company:
BGE (Nigeria) Solar FZE is a leading enterprise in the new energy photovoltaic cell industry, committed to driving sustainable development and innovation. As we expand our global footprint, we are seeking exceptional local talent in Nigeria to join our dynamic team.
Job Description:
We are seeking a high-precision Finance Officer to serve as the analytical engine of our financial operations. In a manufacturing environment—particularly one operating within a Free Trade Zone—finance is the intersection of operational efficiency and regulatory sovereignty. This role is designed for a "Fiscal Strategist"—someone with 1–3 years of experience who can navigate complex tax laws while maintaining a "Zero-Error" ledger.
Your mission is to ensure absolute financial integrity across factory and office operations. You will be responsible for the entire fiscal lifecycle, from daily bookkeeping and bank reconciliations to preparing sophisticated cash flow forecasts for management decision-making. If you possess the integrity to safeguard company assets and the analytical depth to drive cost-control measures, we want you to govern our finance function.
Requirements:
1. Operational Accounting & Cash Flow Sovereignty
Daily Fiscal Management: Oversee all bookkeeping, payment processing, and expense controls, ensuring that every naira is tracked and reconciled against bank statements.
Management Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, transforming raw data into actionable reports that support long-term planning.
Liquidity Planning: Develop accurate cash flow forecasts to ensure the organization maintains optimal liquidity for uninterrupted factory production and vendor payments.
2. Cost Control & Industrial Efficiency
Performance Analysis: Monitor operational costs and analyze financial performance to identify "bottlenecks" and recommend high-impact cost-saving measures.
Internal Controls: Implement and maintain rigorous internal control frameworks to mitigate financial risks and prevent unauthorized expenditure.
Payroll & Reimbursements: Coordinate accurate and timely payroll processing, ensuring that employee benefits and vendor obligations are met with 100% precision.
3. Regulatory Compliance & FTZ Governance
Tax & Statutory Stewardship: Ensure full compliance with Nigerian tax laws (CIT, VAT, WHT) and timely filings with relevant authorities (FIRS/LIRS).
FTZ Specialized Compliance: Navigate the specific financial and reporting requirements of the Free Trade Zone (FTZ), ensuring all operations align with zone-specific exemptions and regulations.
Audit Coordination: Act as the primary liaison for external auditors and tax consultants, facilitating smooth annual audits and regulatory inspections.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
Certification (Plus): Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, CPA) is a significant advantage.
Experience: 1–3 years in a finance role, ideally within Manufacturing or Industrial sectors.
Technical Savvy: Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Advanced formulas/pivots) and experience with ERP or Accounting software (e.g., SAGE, SAP, QuickBooks).
Core Competencies
Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with Nigerian financial regulations and Free Trade Zone financial requirements.
Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills to analyze complex financial datasets and improve cost-efficiency.
Integrity: Unwavering commitment to financial ethics and the ability to work independently under pressure.
