Job Description:

We are seeking a high-discipline, results-oriented Construction Supervisor to lead the physical execution of our projects in Port Harcourt. This role is the critical link between architectural vision and structural reality.

Your mission is to take full ownership of the site, transforming blueprints into actionable daily work plans while managing a diverse workforce. You will be responsible for the "three pillars" of site success: Safety, Quality, and Schedule. If you are a Civil Engineer who thrives in the field and knows how to drive subcontractors toward a common goal without compromising on standards, we want you to lead our site operations.

Requirements:

1. Technical Execution & Blueprint Translation

• From Paper to Concrete: Interpret complex architectural and structural blueprints to develop precise daily and weekly work plans.

• Workforce Orchestration: Develop and manage labor schedules, assigning specific tasks to construction laborers and specialized trades.

• Activity Documentation: Maintain rigorous site records, including daily logs of materials used, milestones achieved, and labor attendance.

2. Quality Governance & Safety Standards

• Structural Integrity: Conduct regular on-site inspections to ensure all construction works meet the specified engineering standards and quality benchmarks.

• Safety Leadership: Implement and enforce strict Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols to ensure a zero-accident site environment.

• Liaison Management: Act as the primary point of contact for contractors, project managers, and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication across the chain of command.

3. Schedule Performance & Delivery

• Timeline Accountability: Drive the site team to meet critical project milestones, ensuring timely delivery as requested by the client or management.

• Resource Optimization: Manage site materials and equipment efficiently to prevent delays or unnecessary costs.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Education: B.Sc or HND in Civil Engineering.

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of direct field experience in construction supervision.

• Location: Must be available to work full-time in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Core Competencies

• Blueprint Literacy: High proficiency in reading and interpreting structural, architectural, and MEP drawings.

• Leadership: Strong ability to manage and motivate large teams of laborers and contractors.

• Problem-Solving: The ability to make quick, technically sound decisions when on-site challenges arise.

• Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to liaise effectively between the office (management) and the field (labor).
