Job Description:
We are seeking an expert Certified Tank Engineer / Foreman to lead complex tank rehabilitation projects. You will serve as the technical authority on-site, supervising all phases of the project lifecycle from initial isolation and degassing to final commissioning. This role requires a professional with deep technical proficiency in international standards and a proven track record of managing large-scale mechanical rehabilitation projects safely and to specification.
Requirements:
Project Supervision: Manage and coordinate all tank rehabilitation, repair, and refurbishment activities.
Operational Control: Lead critical site operations, including mobilization, tank isolation, degassing, and thorough cleaning processes.
Quality & Standards Compliance: Ensure all structural repairs, welding, piping restoration, and coating applications strictly adhere to API standards and company-specific requirements.
Commissioning Authority: Oversee hydrostatic testing and pre-commissioning activities, ensuring systems are verified and ready for service.
Documentation & Review: Review technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation; maintain accurate "as-built" records.
Site Safety: Enforce stringent HSE protocols and Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems. Conduct daily toolbox talks and routine site inspections to maintain a zero-incident environment.
Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary technical interface between the site team and company representatives, providing progress updates and technical briefings.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in tank design, construction, inspection, and rehabilitation.
Technical Standards: Must possess deep, applied knowledge of API 650 and API 653 standards.
Certifications: Mandatory API certification or an equivalent internationally recognized professional qualification.
Leadership: Proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary workforces, track project progress against tight timelines, and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues on-site.
