Job Description:

We are seeking a high-caliber Asset Care Manager to lead our plant maintenance strategy. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our production assets achieve peak reliability and availability at optimal costs. You will be responsible for moving beyond reactive repairs to a culture of proactive, data-driven maintenance aligned with global manufacturing best practices.

Requirements:

Strategy & Execution

• Maintenance Governance: Establish, monitor, and reinforce maintenance strategies that align perfectly with our overarching manufacturing objectives.

• Reliability Engineering: Drive continuous improvement by shifting the focus toward preventive maintenance, minimizing equipment breakdowns, and extending the Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF).

• Operational Planning: Organize and execute complex annual overhauls for production lines and facility infrastructure.

• Financial Control: Prepare and strictly control the annual plant maintenance budget, ensuring all routines and strategic initiatives are fully funded and executed.

Operational Excellence

• Inventory Management: Oversee the optimization of spare parts and maintenance materials to balance availability with capital efficiency.

• Infrastructure Projects: Lead and actively participate in process optimization and infrastructure upgrades.

• Data Analysis: Use available maintenance data to evaluate the effectiveness of corrective actions and drive long-term productivity improvements.

• Quality Assurance: Maintain robust systems to ensure that all production and packaging outputs meet our stringent quality standards.

Leadership & Culture

• Cultural Transformation: Spearhead the implementation of Basic Cycle Maintenance (CIL – Cleaning, Inspection, Lubrication), embedding these principles into the daily habits of all operators and technicians.

• Change Management: Lead the engineering and maintenance team through structural role changes or the adoption of new maintenance technologies.

• Asset Stewardship: Ensure the total upkeep, security, and preventative care of all engineering tools and departmental equipment.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) or HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

• Experience:

  • 8–10 years of relevant, hands-on experience in FMCG operations and maintenance.

  • Mandatory: At least 3 years of management experience specifically within a beverage bottling company.

• Financial/People Competence: Proven expertise in budgeting, cost control, and large-scale team leadership.
