Job Description:

Vivafemini is seeking a production-minded Full Stack Engineer to design, build, and deploy core product features that scale healthcare delivery across Africa. You will own the full engineering lifecycle from UI/UX implementation to API design, database architecture, and deployment.

We are a TypeScript-first team. We need an engineer who can move fast without breaking things, understands the sensitivity of clinical data, and is comfortable making pragmatic architectural trade-offs to ship value to our users.

Requirements:

• Full-Stack Ownership: Build and maintain responsive customer-facing pages (Next.js/React) and robust backend services (NestJS).

• API & Data Architecture: Design and deliver clean REST/GraphQL APIs and manage MongoDB persistence layers with efficient schema design.

• Security & Integration: Implement secure authentication (JWT/OAuth), handle sensitive PII with a privacy-first mindset, and manage production integrations with payment gateways like Paystack or Flutterwave.

• DevOps & Quality: Manage CI/CD pipelines, write comprehensive tests (Jest, Playwright), and maintain high code quality with thorough documentation.

• Collaborative Impact: Work closely with product, design, and clinical stakeholders to ensure features are not just functional, but clinically governed and compliant.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience: 3+ years of professional experience building and shipping production-grade full-stack TypeScript applications.

• Tech Stack Proficiency:

  • Frontend: Strong Next.js/React experience.

  • Backend: Demonstrated proficiency in NestJS (TypeScript).

  • Database: Proven experience with MongoDB (schema design, indexing).

• Engineering Standards: Solid understanding of API design, HTTP security, Git workflows, and Docker containerization.

• Communication: Exceptional ability to work cross-functionally and document your code for a growing team.

Desired "Bonus" Skills

• Experience with Healthtech/Clinical product constraints (data privacy, audit trails).

• Familiarity with cloud infra (AWS/GCP), Redis, or background message queues.

• A portfolio or GitHub profile showcasing clean, modular TypeScript code.
