Job Description:
We are seeking an expert Senior Reservoir Engineer to lead reservoir performance optimization and field development initiatives. This is a high-impact role for a seasoned professional capable of bridging complex subsurface modeling with commercial reality. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, drive recovery strategies, and provide the technical leadership necessary to maximize the value of our diverse asset portfolio.
Requirements:
Strategic Reservoir Management: Lead activities to assess, analyze, and optimize field performance. You will be responsible for translating reservoir behavior into actionable strategic field development goals.
Modeling & Simulation: Conduct advanced reservoir simulation studies (using industry-standard tools) to predict performance, optimize recovery factors, and refine long-term production forecasts.
Field Development Planning: Design and optimize comprehensive development plans, including drilling programs, well completion strategies, and production forecasting to enhance NPV and IRR.
Integrated Collaboration: Act as the technical anchor in a multidisciplinary team, integrating insights from geologists, petrophysicists, and production technologists to deliver unified reservoir solutions.
Reserves & Reporting: Perform accurate reserve and resource estimations in full compliance with international industry standards and regulatory frameworks.
Financial & Budgetary Oversight: Manage reservoir engineering budgets (software, data acquisition, testing) and conduct rigorous cost-benefit analyses to ensure operational efficiency.
Mentorship & Communication: Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and represent reservoir findings to senior leadership and external stakeholders through high-level presentations and reporting.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related discipline (Post-graduate degree preferred).
Experience: 8–12 years of total experience, with at least 8 years in senior or leadership roles within major international oil and gas organizations.
Technical Proficiency:
Simulation Mastery: Expert-level usage of ECLIPSE, CMG, or PETREL.
Core Fundamentals: In-depth knowledge of fluid dynamics, pressure transient analysis, well testing, and production optimization.
Commercial Acumen: Proven ability to perform financial modeling to support hydrocarbon field commercialization.
Certification: Professional Engineering (PE) License or equivalent formal certification.
Expertise: Experience across diverse reservoir types (conventional, unconventional, offshore, and mature fields).
