Job Description:
1. Revenue & Cash Management
Daily Audit: Manage and verify daily income from all outlets (Front Office, Restaurant, Bar, and Events).
Cash Flow Oversight: Monitor daily cash flow and ensure all bank deposits and POS settlements are reconciled without discrepancies.
Reconciliations: Perform rigorous bank, credit card, and vendor reconciliations to ensure financial records align with actual bank balances.
2. Financial Reporting & Compliance
Monthly Accounts: Prepare comprehensive monthly financial statements, including Profit & Loss (P&L) and balance sheets.
Reporting: Deliver timely financial and operational reports to management to aid in strategic decision-making.
Record Keeping: Maintain a structured digital and physical filing system that ensures the hotel is always audit-ready and compliant with national financial standards.
3. Cost Control & Expenditure
Budget Monitoring: Track actual performance against established budgets, identifying and investigating significant variances.
Payables & Payroll: Efficiently manage vendor payments and lead the monthly payroll process for all hotel staff.
Cost Auditing: Work closely with the F&B and Store departments to monitor inventory costs and prevent wastage or leakages.
Requirements:
Attributes: Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
Experience: Proven experience as an Accountant, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked in a Hotel or Resort environment.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Technical Skills: Solid knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles (IFRS/GAAP). Proficiency in Excel and hospitality-specific software (e.g., Opera, Sage, or QuickBooks) is an advantage.
