Job Description:
HMO Claims & Receivables Management
Liaison & Recovery: Serve as the primary point of contact for HMO partners, driving the prompt and accurate settlement of all hospital claims.
Claims Reconciliation: Manage and reconcile HMO receivables, identifying discrepancies in billing and ensuring all services rendered are correctly captured and paid.
Aging Analysis: Monitor the HMO debt profile and provide regular reports on outstanding payments to management.
Financial Accounting & Operations
Journal Entries: Post standard and adjusting journal entries into the accounting system with high precision.
Bank & Payable Reconciliations: Perform daily/monthly reconciliation of bank activities and payables to ensure the integrity of financial data.
Transaction Monitoring: Maintain a rigorous watch over all financial transactions to detect and prevent leakages.
Audit, Budgeting & Reporting
Audit Support: Actively participate in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and schedules.
Budgetary Assistance: Support the Finance Manager in preparing departmental budgets and monitoring variance.
ERP Management: Utilize Sage ERP (or similar software) to maintain accurate financial records and generate management reports.
Requirements:
Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of financial regulations and healthcare-specific accounting processes.
Analytical Prowess: Ability to spot trends and errors in large datasets (claims lists).
Communication: Outstanding ability to negotiate and communicate effectively with HMO representatives and internal medical staff.
Time Management: Ability to meet strict deadlines for monthly closings and statutory filings.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting or Finance.
Experience: 2–3 years of experience in a similar role.
Sector Expertise: Essential: Proven experience in HMO claims management and reconciliation within a hospital or healthcare setting.
Software Proficiency: Mastery of Microsoft Excel and experience with at least one accounting software (Preference for Sage ERP).
Salary
