Job Description:

We are seeking a methodical and analytically sharp Accountant to serve as the backbone of our financial operations. In this role, you will be responsible for far more than just "balancing the books." You will be a guardian of the organization’s assets, ensuring that every transaction is recorded with surgical precision and that our leadership has the clear, timely data needed for high-stakes decision-making.

From managing the accounts cycle to ensuring full tax compliance, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial health and integrity of the company.

Requirements:

1. Financial Integrity & Transaction Management

• General Ledger Stewardship: Record daily financial transactions and maintain meticulous records to ensure the integrity of the company’s financial history.

• Accounts Lifecycle: Own the end-to-end management of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring invoices are processed and payments are received on schedule.

• Internal Controls: Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent financial discrepancies.

2. Reporting, Analysis & Budgeting

• Comprehensive Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements that reflect the true position of the business.

• Strategic Insights: Analyze financial data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and performance gaps, providing actionable insights to management.

• Budget Governance: Assist in the preparation and monitoring of departmental budgets, tracking variances to ensure fiscal discipline.

3. Compliance & Audit Support

• Tax & Regulatory Oversight: Ensure strict adherence to tax laws, GAAP/IFRS principles, and other relevant financial regulations to mitigate legal risks.

• Audit Facilitation: Serve as the primary point of contact for audits, providing all required documentation and clear explanations for financial entries.

• Organized Filing: Maintain a world-class digital and physical filing system to ensure that financial data is retrievable and audit-ready at all times.

Qualifications and Skills:

Technical Proficiencies

• Accounting IQ: Deep knowledge of GAAP or IFRS principles.

• Software Mastery: Proficiency in QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is essential.

• Advanced Excel: Mastery of spreadsheets (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and complex formulas) for data manipulation.
